Greetings folks,,, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. will have a table set up at the end of the
Knights of Columbus Independence Day Parade @ 13th Avenue & 86th Street this Saturday June 28, 2014
BJ’s will be offering all new memberships & renewing
memberships $10 off the regular membership fee plus a extra three months, 15 months for the 12 month fee. Those who would
like or have BJ’s Rewards get $20 off plus the 15 months for the 12 month fee. BJ’s will also donate $5 for each
new membership to the K of C Long Island Assembly #703 to help offset the cost of the parade.
Regular membership will be $40
BJ’s Rewards will be $80
BJ’s is also offering all new memberships a $50.00 Restaurant.com gift card.
BJ's will also be giving out water, chips & candy, to add to what the Assembly will
be giving out.
And lets not forget that The Brooklyn Dance Centers
www.thebrooklyndancecenters.com will be performing during and after the parade. The USO Troupe will only be performing
after The Brooklyn Dance Centers after the parade.
Greetings folks,,, The Columbus Council #126 Pipes & Drums Band lead by Bob Murphy will be marching in
the 109th Independence Day Parade to be held this Saturday June 28, 2014. All Columbiettes,
Knights your family & friends are invited to march behind the band with the council banners.
All folks attending
are to meet at 13th Ave & 71st St. at 10:30 AM for the
lineup assignments. This parade will step-off at 11:00 AM sharp. The parade will end at Archbishop John Hughes Council #481
13th Ave. & 86th St.. This is where all will be treated
to a performance by The Brooklyn Dance Centers www.thebrooklyndancecenters.com & a USO Show Troupe.
After the performances all are then invited to the Baron DeKalb Council #1073
3000 Emmons Ave. corner of Nostrand Ave.1:00 PM till 5:00 PM for there pier fundraiser which was destroyed after Super Storm
Sandy. Event admission is $20.00 PP, includes food, soda & DJ. Cash bar available. There will also be many raffles during

Long time Columbus Council #126 member Pete Crinigan is currently recuperating from an illness at the Sheepshead Bay Nursing
& Rehabilitation Center, and may be their until the end of June. When released Pete will not be able to return to his
second floor walk~up apartment. The officers of Columbus C...ouncil
#126 are seeking a ground floor walk~in apartment in these areas, Gerritsen Beach, Marine Park, Sheepshead Bay, Mill Basin
& Bergen Beach. If you have any information of such an apartment, please contact John O'Farrell at the council 718-336-8117
or myself and we will meet you to take a look at the apartment.
