Island Assembly #703 Fourth Degree
The fourth degree exemplification will
take place on Sunday April 29,2012 at 1:00 PM, in Brooklyn, New York at The Shrine Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel 275
North Eighth St., Brooklyn NY 11211 on Havemeyer and North Eighth streets.
Our Lady of Mount Carmel Council
#6243 across from the church, will open it’s doors at 2:00 PM for your guest to stay and enjoy snacks and refreshments.
Exemplification starts at 2:00 PM, followed by a Mass at about 5:00 PM, followed by the Banquet Dinner.
The honoree and celebrant will be Bishop Frank Caggiano.
This will be a historical event, as it will be
the 100th anniversary of Assembly #703
The
primary purpose of the Fourth Degree is to foster the spirit of patriotism by promoting responsible citizenship and a love
of and loyalty to the Knights' respective countries through active membership in local Fourth Degree groups called assemblies.
Fourth Degree members must retain their membership as Third Degree members in the local council to remain in good standing.
To take part in this historical event, you must be a third degree member in good standing with at least
six months membership in the order to be eligible for membership in the Fourth Degree.
Dress Code The official Dress Code for Exemplification of the Fourth Degree shall be;
(a) The official dress for the
Fourth Degree Exemplification is black tuxedo, black bow tie, plain white tuxedo shirt (NO
wing tip shirts), black shoes, black socks and black cummerbund.
(b) A member serving in the armed forces of his country,
full time police and firefighters shall be considered in proper attire when dressed in a Class A dress uniform. Candidates
must not wear any lapel pins or jewel of office during exemplification.
Fees $85.00 ~ Includes: Exemplification, Social Baldric, Banquet
Dinner, 2012 Dues. If you will NOT be attending the banquet dinner then your fee will be $50.00 $50.00 ~ Banquet Dinner for each of your guest Please try to have all your payments in ASAP, or at least by April 01,2012
